Last month I was in Washington for the annual NBCC Advocacy Summit and Advocacy Day. In an earlier post I mentioned the frustration I was hearing over the NBCC agenda as it relates to those of us with mets. I wanted to share and personally thank Fran Visco’s shift in language to focus not on ending the spread of disease (of course a crucial goal), but on ending deaths from breast cancer. While it may be semantics to some, words matter! Your inclusion of those of us with mets is part and parcel with us having a seat at the table.
