The Media’s Pink-Ribbon Problem: Coverage Is Skewed, Study Says

The Daily Beast gets it right! It is time to demand attention and change. With mandated health coverage for nearly all women, the focus must shift to exactly two things: preventing disease and preventing death from metastases. Period.

“We could screen every woman in the world, and we would not have stopped breast cancer. I am not saying to stop funding for screening; however, we cannot afford to make it a main focus.” –Fran Visco, National Breast Cancer Coalition

We need to demand transparency and real change  to ensure that our breast cancer dollars are spent wisely.
